| I don't know much about Jesus but I know the most important thing - He took my place on the cross so that I could be forgiven. He did it for YOU too. I know he knew me BY NAME before I was ever born, just as he knows the name of every Star and the exact number of grains of sand on the Earth, just as the Bible says. I don't know all the answers and I am not going to fight with anyone who emails and says 'oh yeah, what about dinosauers or evolution or homosexuality". I don't need to know all the answers because I know God will reveal that when the time comes and whether I know how it happened or not makes no difference to Him. I have friends who are gay. Does that make me a bad christian, or make them 'less' than me? NO. EVERYONE has sinned and come short of the glory of God. Says so right in the Bible. Doesn't say Jesus died for everyone BUT gays, or everyone BUT heroin addicts, cheats, liars, adulterers, etc. All sins are the same in the eyes of God and only He knows everyone's heart. The Bible says even thinking about a sin is a sin. So if you've coveted a really nice house or wished you had someone's great life, you have sinned just the same. And I don't know anyone who has never lied, even something small that was meant to spare someone's feelings. I don't know much but if you have a question or need someone to talk to, we are here. No, believing in Jesus doesn't mean you will be successful or have no problems or worries or you won't lose loved ones or get sick or lose your job. Those things are going to happen, that is just life on this planet. I don't know why some people bury their kids or others seem to have everything handed to them. I only know that whatever happens to me, no matter how horrible it seems at the time, is for the Glory of God and someday it will all make perfect sense. |
