2011 -Completed goals
- Neko not only showed over fences in 2011, but won!
- Neko qualified for regional championships, 6th of 35 in eq and will also show in HUS, trail, horsemanship, games, and over fences if they offer the class (right now they are saying they may not)
- Neko again won not only one all around, but all but one she tried for
- Neko starting showing trail at AQHA and pinned
- We added a new goal midstream - Corinne decided she wanted to go to a horse trial (event) this summer, so they practiced and checked off goals one by one such as jumping up and down banks, etc, and not only won, but won the dressage phase all but once. Neko had only trail ridden I think four times before start of 2011 -yet she is a brave and careful XC horse! Because she loved it so much, she will be doing much more of it!
- We had passed on congress in order to do our last event
- Neko amazed us by getting points at AQHA one weekend, winning an event the following, then straight back for more points at AQHA week after week
- Birdie had a couple of injuries this year so we didn't push her, but she still qualified 9th of 35 in eq for regionals without being ridden for 5 weeks as well as gained AQHA points
- 2012 goals so far....
- Birdie will take over the AQHA, her goal is to be consistent and hope her foot holds up!
- Neko will move forward to try and get a year end from the eventing association they are joining. She will also plan to show up a level before end of year.
- Neko's goal will be to have dressage points on her AQHA record showing a recognized show though it may not be able to happen this year depending on logistics and how much we can show, if not, we will go after it next year. But we will be keeping an eye out to fit it in this year.
- Neko and Bird to show the regionals and hopefully get a top ten
- Birdie to win an all around at AQHA in Neko's place
- Kitty to pin in a showmanship class before end of year. This one is tricky because she doesn't turn two until end of May and I don't want to start her pivots too early but we sure will try!
- Kitty to be able to do a walk/trot before end of year, we are planning to break her in the spring
- Neko over fences at congress
- Birdie eq or HUS at congress, possibly showmanship (again depends on logistics because hunter classes are early October and showmanship is usually the third week)
- We want to do a hunter pace with Neko and a horse to be determined - maybe Easy?
- Birdie to start learning to ride western and get some show experience for next year's all arounds
