 2009 show results:

April 2009:  First show of the year AQHA Phillipi Spring Circuit in the pouring rain - Neko placed 4th & 7th in ammy showmanship, in the points. Had to pass on trail, jumping, etc due to weather.  Did ride in HUS before we left -two thirds!   She ripped her shoe off in the trailer and a big chunk of hoof, Ralph puttied her up so we have to be careful in any kind of wet weather for a little while.

 Second show: AQHA Phillipi - better weather this time - Neko got 2nd in ammy, congratulations on your ROM!!!  Won her HUS class also.  Then the rains came and we went home.

Tristate AQHA Westmoreland Fairgrounds May 9, 2009

Congratulations!  Neko and Corinne get 1st and 3rd in HUS Eq. Also had a great run in showmanship (I'll post the run, the pattern was really difficult). Neko had a great pattern and then stopped to set up in front of the judge....and had a call of nature!  She couldn't wait five minutes to be done - had to make a production and relieve herself. There was nothing Corinne could do but stand and smile!  They still got 6th of 17 and I know some would be tickled for it, but they were disappointed.   We'll be back this weekend!

 May 16, 2009-TriState AQHA Westmoreland Fairgrounds-

Another ammy win for Neko!  1st and 5th of 17 in Amateur showmanship, two seconds in HUS eq, two thirds in HUS, and a third and fourth in Ammy HUS!  Way to go Corinne and Neko!   Now if we could get an un-rainy weekend so we could stay for the western events.....

May 29-31-AQHA Philippi, WV

Congratulations!!!  Corinne and Neko win equitation, place in showmanship and HUS.  Also, Corinne joined NSBA this weekend - and NEKO WINS 3rd!  Brings home a little money and her show record will now show NSBA earnings!  Hope to find some more NSBA shows.

Birdie shows and pins 5th in her FIRST showmanship class ever!!  Her elements were perfect - she had her pivot, a great run, set her feet like lightning - and her dead stop with dirt flying - all without once touching my lead rope!!! youtube video will be posted.   She would have placed so much higher (Might even have pulled it out) but Brenda forgot the pattern momentarily while concentrating so hard to make sure Birdie's elements were perfect!!!  Even the judge commented on her great stop and on her presence in being only two years old. Birdie also rode in the big pen 40-50 horses without even blinking.

Neko's had a win at I think her last three or four AQHA shows!!!

June 10-12, 2009 -  Tri State AQHA Show - Summer Circuit Week 1

Congratulations!  Neko places 5th of 25 in ammy showmanship....the four placing above are all multiple world qualifiers, so good company!   Neko also wins HUS eq again under both judges.  Neko debuted her barrels/poles and did a great job. She had never seen a pattern, not even at home so took the first run to get the hang of it. She got DQ'd for lack of forward motion on the first one - Corinne asked her to run and Neko had just won her Eq pattern the class before so she was doing her pretty girl canter and Corinne said no, run! and Neko stopped and hopped like 'no, I am doing my pretty canter, what do you want?"  But Neko is very fast and once she realized she was supposed to go - she was off!  It was fun, we'll try to actually practice a pattern at home, but she didn't even get last in barrels with the real game horses!

June 19 - Harlansburg AQHA --- Neko wins her first all around and her first buckle!

won horsemanship of 16 in her bosal, eq of 14, 2nd in HUS, 8th Western Pleasure, 1st barrels, 3rd trail, 1st poles, 1st performance mares (didnt show showmanship)

and was grand champion mare! 

June 26/27:  TriState AQHA -- Neko is HUS Eq Circuit Champion!

Won 5 of the 6 classes that counted for the circuit - congratulations Neko!

July 24 -- Tristate AQHA -- Neko is the all around champion!  She won another chair. Also was reserve champion mare, won horsemanship and eq, 3rd HUS and didn't show showmanship, trail, or games.  Congratulations!

8/7-9, 2009 AQHA -- NWVAQHA

Congratulations!  Neko wins HUS eq under all three judges -- also 2nd in ammy showmanship, 3rd HUS.

Birdie goes in her first AQHA showmanship class ever, pins 4th of 20 and is in the points!  Also shown on Sunday and pinned under both judges at the split/combined show!  Points at two in showmanship, just like Neko.

9/20/09 -- Birdie's first and second canter classes EVER = FIRST AND SECOND PLACE!!!   See her videos on youtube and pics on her pages.  Kaitlyn and Grace also won showmanship, pony halter, second in down and back (their first time ever) and pinned 3rd and 4th in working hunter pony and eq over fences -their first ever classes!!!  Birdie also won her showmanship class.
